There's no place like home for Howland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Harding Raiders with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Howland took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Maya Kubancsek and Grace Kukkonen, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Talia Rishel and her 20 assists. Lily Day controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The win snapped Howland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record. As for Harding, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Howland and Harding could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 216th) will meet Canfield (ranked 61st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harding will take on Ursuline at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (709 vs. 295).
