Baseball Game Preview: Hampshire Trojans vs. Berkeley Springs Indians

The Hampshire Trojans will square off against the Berkeley Springs Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hampshire is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Frankfort, falling 12-2.

Hampshire saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Whitacre, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs lost 14-3 to Clarke County on Wednesday.

Kyle Rankin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kyle Moore was another, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Hampshire, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Hampshire took their win against Berkeley Springs when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
