Volleyball Recap: Skyline Beats Redmond for Their Third Straight Win

Skyline waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Redmond Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Skyline not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Redmond between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Emma Gutke paced Skyline's offense, picking up 17 kills. Gutke got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 30 assists. Finally, Tessa Reed kept Skyline's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 14-10-3. As for Redmond, they moved to 14-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Skyline nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
