Basketball Recap: Baldwin County Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Baldwin County won the last time they faced St. Michael Catholic and things went their way on Friday too. The Baldwin County Tigers snuck past the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals with a 46-42 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Cardinals are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Baldwin County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for St. Michael Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Baldwin County will venture away from home to face off against Gulf Shores at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael Catholic, they will host Bayside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
