Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gila Bend). They were the clear victors by a 28-4 margin over the Berean Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The Gila Monsters have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Nadiyah Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
