Volleyball Recap: Chelsea Academy Takes Down Grove Christian School in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chelsea Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Grove Christian School Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Chelsea Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 25-16.

Chelsea Academy found their leader in sophomore Malta Klassen, who had four digs and four aces. Klassen has been hot recently, having also posted 19 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Chelsea Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive contests.

Chelsea Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Grove Christian School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

Coming up, Chelsea Academy will square off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grove Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
