Baseball Recap: Grand Saline Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Grand Saline rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Troup Tigers by a score of 8-5. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Grand Saline pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Troup, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8.

Grand Saline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
