Basketball Game Preview: Norfolk Panthers vs. Lincoln East Spartans

Norfolk hasn't had much luck against Lincoln East recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Norfolk Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Lincoln East Spartans at 5:30 p.m.

Norfolk is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Marian and fell 67-30.

Skylar Indra was Norfolk's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Bo Caskey held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Harper Fossum took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Lincoln East can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They snuck past Gretna with a 48-42 win. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Norfolk's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lincoln East, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Norfolk couldn't quite finish off Lincoln East in their previous matchup back in February and fell 55-52. Can Norfolk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
