Archbishop McNicholas faced St. Vincent-St. Mary in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rockets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fighting Irish. The victory was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Archbishop McNicholas' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Coincidentally, Archbishop McNicholas and St. Vincent-St. Mary will both be playing Mt. Vernon the next time they take the court. The Rockets will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting Irish will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
