Softball Recap: Camden County Bruins vs. Manteo Redskins
Camden County can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They blew past the Manteo Redskins 14-2. Winning may never get old, but Camden County sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Caleigh Martin made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Martin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ruby Arnette was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Ellie Barker was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
On Manteo's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bridgett Berry, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
