Baseball Recap: Ashley Gets the Win

Ashley's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Pine Lake Prep Pride.

Elijah Setzer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Ashley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Martin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Martin a new career-high.

Ashley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Lake Prep struck out 13 times.

Ashley's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Pine Lake Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Ashley will face off against Laney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will square off against Charlotte Country Day School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
