Preview: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Fredericktown Black Cats

The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Fredericktown Black Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Saxony Lutheran is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.

On Saturday, Saxony Lutheran didn't have too much trouble with Neelyville on the road as they won 67-48.

It was another big night for Evie Caruso, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Rebecca Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, Fredericktown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 63-49 bruising from North County.

Saxony Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Fredericktown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Saxony Lutheran didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fredericktown when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saxony Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
