Volleyball Recap: Otis-Bison Takes a Loss

Otis-Bison was the 2-1 winner over Central Plains when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Oilers on Saturday.

Otis-Bison's offense was headlined by Allie Smith and Lily Schwindt, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Jade Holman and her ten assists. Grace Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Central Plains to victory were Taylin Davis and Audrey Mostyn. Davis had eight assists and four aces, while Mostyn had nine digs. That's the most aces Davis has posted over her last 13 matches.

Otis-Bison's loss dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Central Plains, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-20.

Otis-Bison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ellinwood on the 14th. As for Central Plains, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Pratt on the 16th.
