Football Game Preview: Bishop Badgers vs. Goliad Tigers + How To Watch

The Bishop Badgers will face off against the Goliad Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Bishop made easy work of Falfurrias and carried off a 27-7 victory. The Badgers haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Jerseys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Bishop's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxten Eli Montalvo, who threw for 212 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 74.2% of his passes.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Goliad against West Oso on Friday as the team secured a 45-7 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Bears are ranked 699th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Goliad's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bishop, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Bishop was taken down by Goliad 63-16 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
