Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Apponequet Regional walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Seekonk Warriors a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lakers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Apponequet Regional's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Seekonk, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Apponequet Regional will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
