Basketball Recap: City Arts and Leadership Academy Hawks vs. Marshall Phoenix
On Friday, City Arts and Leadership Academy suffered a rough 57-34 defeat at the hands of the Phoenix.
Marshall was led to victory by Robert Fields and Martel Peters. Fields scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Peters dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fields has scored at least a third of Marshall's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Aceves, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
City Arts and Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marshall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-11.
City Arts and Leadership Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Dolphins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
