Football Recap: Clarke Prep Takes a Loss

Clarke Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-18 to the Monroe Academy Volunteers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 47-19 to the Volunteers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clarke Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Monroe Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Clarke Prep will head out to challenge Wilcox Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Gators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Monroe Academy, they will host Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
