Volleyball Recap: Veritas Academy Comes Up Short

Veritas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. Michael's Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Veritas Academy has suffered since August 12th.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-14.

Veritas Academy's offense was headlined by Rose Moore and Bailey McGehee, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Avery Roberts and her 18 assists. Moore was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Michael's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Veritas Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hill Country Christian on the 22nd. As for St. Michael's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on the 25th.
