Volleyball Recap: Barrow Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Barrow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Lathrop Malemutes 1-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Whalers have posted since September 27th.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:oneset needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 27-25.

Barrow's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 32-12-4. As for Lathrop, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-23-10.

Coincidentally, Barrow and Lathrop will both be playing Nome-Beltz the next time they take the court. The Whalers will host the Nanooks at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Malemutes will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
