Hd Davis Delivers Electric Effort Vs Whitewright

Hd Davis's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 12th-straight game with 102+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Wolfe City, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. They and Tioga will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bobby Rogers Delivers Best Effort of Season

Tom Bean was led to victory by Bobby Rogers, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Rogers rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 84 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He is becoming a predictor of Tom Bean's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

If the past is any indication, Rogers could be in store for another big game when he takes on Trenton on Friday. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Rogers saw the Tigers), he rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 180 yards on ten of 25 attempts.

A Season-Best Performance from Brennon Russell Leads Wolfe City over Whitewright

Wolfe City was led to victory by Brennon Russell, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Russell picked up 94 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced two fumbles and made nine total tackles.

On the season, Russell has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 48.6 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.38 receiving yards per game.

Whitewright is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3. Walker and Whitewright will head out to take on Nocona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
