Parkland skates past Jefferson with ease

The Parkland Matadors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 75-41 win over Jefferson at home. With that victory, Parkland brought their scoring average up to 51.1 points per game.

Parkland found their leader in underclassman Jayden Whitt, who scored 15 points along with nine assists. That's the first time this season that Whitt posted eight or more assists. Roy Ashton III was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Parkland's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Jefferson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Parkland will head out on the road to face off against Chapin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapin will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Jefferson will be home for the holidays to greet Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ysleta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
