Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Clover's Third in Last Four Outings

Catawba Ridge came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Clover, but Ashtin Feemster wouldn't allow it. The Clover Blue Eagles walked away with a 46-39 win over the Catawba Ridge Copperheads on Tuesday thanks in part to Feemster, who posted 12 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Despite the defeat, Catawba Ridge had strong showings from Mark Caslaru, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, and Kevin Butler, who put up 12 points. Caslaru has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 18 times he's played.

Clover has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 26.1% in those games and 34% outside of them. As for Catawba Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Clover will square off against Rock Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Clover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. As for Catawba Ridge, they will take on Fort Mill at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Fort Mill will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Catawba Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
