Los Alamos has gone a perfect 10-0 against Espanola Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will challenge the Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Los Alamos made easy work of Pojoaque Valley and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Elks/Elkettes: they've now won six in a row.

Los Alamos walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley hadn't done well against Pojoaque Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Sundevils won by a set and slipped past the Elks/Elkettes 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Espanola Valley who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-27, 25-22, 21-25, 15-9.

Los Alamos' record is now 8-10. As for Espanola Valley, their record now sits at 7-11.

Los Alamos skirted past Espanola Valley 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
