Softball Recap: Janesville Parker Find Success

Janesville Parker came out on top against Madison West on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Vikings took their game against the Regents 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 back in April.

Lilly Keller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Kenedi Pryne was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Delaney King was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Janesville Parker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Madison West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Janesville Parker nor Madison West have any future games scheduled.
