It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Kenny had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They skirted past the Yulee Hornets 3-2. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Colin Ulrich was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Derek Heideman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Bishop Kenny hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yulee struck out eight times.

The victory made it two in a row for Bishop Kenny and bumps their season record up to 7-19. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Yulee, they moved to 16-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Bishop Kenny nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
