Basketball Recap: Isaac Rivas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lehman over Hays

Lehman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 67-53 to the Hays Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-50 back in January.

Lehman's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Rivas, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds. Rivas is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 12 games he's played. Rolando (Rj) Luna was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Lehman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Hays, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-18 record this season.

Lehman has already played their next game, a 60-54 loss against Lockhart on the 7th. As for Hays, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-38 defeat against Cedar Park on the 7th.
