Calumet Christian is 6-1 against Families of Faith Christian Academy since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Calumet Christian Patriots will host the Families of Faith Christian Academy Screaming Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Calumet Christian and four for Families of Faith Christian Academy.

Last Friday, Calumet Christian lost to Hammond Bishop Noll on the road by a 64-50 margin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Makenna Landkrohn, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Landkrohn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards.

Even though they lost, Calumet Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 32 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Families of Faith Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Screaming Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family are ranked 270th).

Families of Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Calumet Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Calumet Christian beat Families of Faith Christian Academy 55-48 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Does Calumet Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Families of Faith Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
