Volleyball Recap: William Campbell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against George Washington on Monday, William Campbell came back down to earth. The Generals came up short against the Chatham Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

William Campbell was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-11.

Leading Chatham to victory were Avery Norton and Peyton Owen. Norton had 19 assists and two aces, while Owen had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Owen a new career-high.

William Campbell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Chatham, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, William Campbell and Chatham will both be playing Dan River the next time they take the court. The Cavaliers will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Generals will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
