Recap: Southeastern Mustangs vs. Locust Fork Hornets
It was a good run, but The Southeastern Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Locust Fork on the road and fell 49-0. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, Southeastern couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jackson Mcmillian threw for 83 yards on seven of 18 attempts. Cole Williams was his top target, gaining 129 total yards.
"dino" Dylan embry had a dynamite game for Locust Fork, rushing for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Dylan embry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Jalon Boatright was another major influence, as he rushed for 34 yards and ran in a TD.
Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Locust Fork, their win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
Southeastern will take on Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Valley is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Locust Fork, they will head out on the road to face off against Gaston on Friday. Gaston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Locust Fork is ranked 155th).
