Aptos posted their closest win since October 22, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leigh Longhorns, sneaking past 2-1. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win got Aptos back to even at 4-4. As for Leigh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Aptos has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Gunn on the 14th. As for Leigh, they will square off against Branham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
