Baseball Game Preview: Westfall Mustangs vs. Southeastern Panthers

The Westfall Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Southeastern Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, Westfall came up short against Miami Trace and fell 6-2. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Westfall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Towler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Southeastern's offense. They lost 12-0 to Unioto on Friday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westfall fell to 6-1. As for Southeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Westfall might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Southeastern in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
