Sebastian River's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Sharks have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiera Carow was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Carow was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rily Biggers, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Layla McKinney, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Sebastian River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Sebastian River's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will face off against Bayside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they will square off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
