Basketball Recap: Burlingame Gets the Win

Burlingame won the last time they faced Woodside, and Lucca Maher did his part to make sure it happened again. The Burlingame Panthers walked away with a 53-45 win over the Woodside Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Maher, who went 7 for 15 en route to 21 points and seven boards. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high.

Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Woodside, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Burlingame will challenge Hillsdale at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Burlingame is facing Hillsdale at the right time seeing as Hillsdale is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Woodside has already played their next game (against Summit Shasta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
