Soccer Recap: West Park Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

West Park kept a clean sheet against Vanden on Saturday. They blew past the Vanden Vikings 3-0. The score was close at the half, but the Panthers pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Bella Madigan and Nylea Esteban-Avilla scored all three of West Park's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The win (which was West Park's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Vanden, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Park will finish 2024 at home by hosting Sheldon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Park is facing Sheldon at the right time seeing as Sheldon is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Vanden, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on River City at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
