Soccer Game Preview: Moanalua vs. Mililani

The Moanalua Menehune will venture away from home to challenge the Mililani Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Moanalua comes in on three and Mililani on 15.

Moanalua is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hilo.

Meanwhile, Mililani faced Waipahu in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Saturday. Mililani's defense stepped up to hand Waipahu a 3-0 shutout. Give the Trojans' defense some credit: that's the team's 15th straight shutout.

Mililani's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Moanalua, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Moanalua suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Mililani when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Moanalua avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
