Volleyball Recap: Central Bears vs. Frostproof Bulldogs
Central's tournament run continued when they took on Frostproof on Friday. The Bears fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their offense was headlined by Lacie Bigger and Isabella Colon, who picked up five kills apiece. Bigger really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Nathalia Charles controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Frostproof found their leader in sophomore Hailey Dixon, who had 24 digs. Dixon is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Frostproof, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bartow on the 12th. As for Frostproof, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Hillsborough on the 12th.
