Baseball Recap: Highlands Latin Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Highlands Latin was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 19-1 to the Trinity Shamrocks. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Shamrocks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Highlands Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Trinity, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highlands Latin will challenge Atherton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will take on Floyd Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Shamrocks 1.7, the Highlanders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
