Baseball Game Preview: Seminole Chieftains vs. McLoud Redskins

For the second straight game, Seminole will face off against McLoud. The Chieftains will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seminole is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since April 24, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of McLoud by a score of 2-0.

For McLoud's part, not much got past Jason Key, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Seminole off the board. Key has become a key player for the Redskins: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 2-10 otherwise.

At the plate, McLoud saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Seminole's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for McLoud, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.
