Miller waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners.

Miller gave Richard Sanchez the start and clearly made the right call: he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Sanchez a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Adrian Quintana, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Miller's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Loma Linda Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Miller will be playing in front of their home fans against Indian Springs at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loma Linda Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Public Safety Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
