Soccer Recap: Flowery Branch Takes a Loss

Flowery Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the East Forsyth Broncos, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Broncos are ranked 129th).

Flowery Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for East Forsyth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Flowery Branch will venture away from home to take on Greene County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Flowery Branch will be up against Greene County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.71 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
