Soccer Game Preview: Chadwick vs. Polytechnic

Chadwick hasn't had much luck against Polytechnic recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Dolphins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 3:15 p.m.

Chadwick is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Flintridge Prep on Friday. The Dolphins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolves. While losing is never fun, Chadwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1060th, while Flintridge Prep are ranked 481st).

Meanwhile, Polytechnic came tearing into last Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Minutemen get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Polytechnic have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Chadwick's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-3. As for Polytechnic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
