It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Vernon duked it out withMaud on Saturday. Mount Vernon fell 49-40 to Maud.

Meanwhile, Lone Oak posted their closest victory since January 26th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over Caddo Mills. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted against the Foxes since February 17, 2015.

Lone Oak now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Mount Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything came up roses for Mount Vernon against Lone Oak in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, as the squad secured a 59-25 win. Will Mount Vernon repeat their success, or does Lone Oak have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
