Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Albany

Albany's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Catskill Cats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jacob Zamer was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He also put up two hits, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Devin Moulden, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Albany kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Albany pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Catskill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Albany will square off against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Catskill, they will take on Coxsackie-Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
