Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 71-61 to the Lapeer Lightning. The Wolves lost against the Lightning in their previous head to head back in February of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-31 score last time.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Lapeer, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Looking ahead, Central will take on Dow in a tournament on Monday. As for Lapeer, they will take on Tournament Opponent on Monday.
