Softball Recap: Sutter Takes a Loss

Sutter lost against Rio Linda back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huskies took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Sutter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Callison, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Sutter has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Rio Linda, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sutter will face off against rival El Camino at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rio Linda is set to take on their familiar foe Dixon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Knights' favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while the Rams have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
