Softball Recap: Mercy's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mercy took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Law, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Lawmen on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Mercy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Law, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Mercy will square off against North Haven at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Law, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cheshire at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Lawmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
