Volleyball Recap: Lauralton Hall Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Maja Brown and Carti Foran

Lauralton Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Branford Hornets, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Lauralton Hall took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.

Lauralton Hall's loss came despite strong showings from Carti Foran and Maja Brown. Foran had eight assists and five aces, while Brown had nine digs and two assists. Foran is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lauralton Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Branford, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Lauralton Hall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Platt Tech on the 18th. As for Branford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Fitch on the 20th.
