Football Recap: Williamsburg Academy's Rushing Attack Does It Again

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Williamsburg Academy walked away with it. They strolled past the Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 37-20. The victory was familiar territory for the Stallions, who have now won three games in a row.

Grant Small produced another solid effort rushing for 272 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 272 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Micah Balder, who threw for 95 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Williamsburg Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 374 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Williamsburg Academy's record is now 10-1. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Williamsburg Academy will take on Colleton Prep Academy on Saturday. Thomas Heyward Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
