Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Oasis). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-29 victory over the Pahrump Valley Trojans. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-11.

Alyssa Atkins-Dowd had a dynamite game for Desert Oasis, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Atkins-Dowd a new career-high in steals. Allyson Pursell was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Desert Oasis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Pahrump Valley lost, don't look at Riley Saldana. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points and eight boards.

Desert Oasis' win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Pahrump Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Desert Oasis is taking a road trip to square off against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pahrump Valley, they will host The Meadows School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
