Recap: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Vincent Memorial Scots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Valhalla Norsemen, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 42-15 loss at the hands of Vincent Memorial. Valhalla was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
It was another big night for Jacobo Elias, who threw for 239 yards and five touchdowns. Jose Gabriel Martinez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Vincent Memorial's defense and their nine sacks. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Valhalla has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Vincent Memorial, their win was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-3.
Valhalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vincent Memorial will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. Hoover has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 279 points over their last six matchups.
